Stonewall Jackson Medal
This award is given to non-UDC members of outstanding contributions to the UDC.
Winnie Davis Medal
This award is given to UDC members to recognize service to the UDC that is above and beyond the duties of an office.
Member
The term member is defined as a woman whose Original Membership application has been approved by General and who is current in General and Division per capita tax and Chapter dues.
Supplementals
After an Original Membership application is approved by General, a member may file Supplemental Membership applications on other eligible Confederate ancestors. Many members find it rewarding to research, document lineage and service, and submit Supplemental Membership applications on additional lineal and collateral Confederate ancestors.
Per capita tax
Each member must pay this annual fee to the General Organization and her Division. Each Chapter collects the per capita along with Chapter dues.
Real Daughter
All UDC members are “daughters” of the Confederacy, but a UDC member who is the actual daughter of a Confederate is affectionately termed a “Real Daughter.”
Honorary Member
Chapters may bestow this honor on a member of their own or another Chapter whom they wish to honor. Honorary members must maintain membership in their “home” Chapter.
Honorary Associate Member
Chapters, Divisions, and the General Organization may bestow this honor on men and women whom they wish to honor for outstanding service to the UDC.
